Harley-Davidson Model Year 2026 Launch

Two-Chapter Brand Film Campaign | National Production | Rapid Turnaround

In July, Remedy was brought on by Harley-Davidson’s core brand team to produce the official Model Year 2026 product launch campaign. The project would ultimately become a two-chapter film series — blending documentary storytelling, live presentation elements, and cinematic riding footage — all executed under an accelerated, overlapping production timeline.

Chapter One: Carryover

Chapter One focused on the evolution of the brand — highlighting engineering advancements, design improvements, and feature enhancements introduced over the past year. Rather than presenting this as a corporate recap, we told the story through the people and places that make Harley-Davidson what it is.

Production spanned:

  • Final Assembly in York, Pennsylvania

  • Paint in Tomahawk, Wisconsin

  • Powertrain Operations in Milwaukee

  • Yuke’s Harley-Davidson dealership in Kenosha

  • Miller High Life Theatre (Milwaukee) for the staged presentation

We paired intimate, documentary-style interviews with employees and engineers alongside cinematic product visuals. We also captured environmental lifestyle moments in each town — bowling alleys, diners, and daily life — grounding the story in the communities that shape the brand.

The presentation component featured engineers and experts introducing the motorcycles on stage, supported by dynamic close-up cinematography and high-end camera motion. The final deliverable was a 25–30 minute flagship film, supported by cutdowns, model-specific edits, sizzles, and promotional assets.

The response emphasized one thing: audiences connected deeply with the authenticity of the factory workers and real people behind the machines.

Chapter Two: Route 66 & America 250

While finalizing Chapter One, we simultaneously prepped and filmed Chapter Two — creating significant overlap between editing, scouting, scheduling, and production.

Chapter Two shifted focus from factories to the open road — aligning with America’s 250th anniversary and Route 66’s 100th anniversary in 2026. The tone became more cinematic and experiential, centered on riding culture and the motorcycles themselves.

Production included:

  • Route 66 sequences across Missouri

  • A large-scale riding production in Joplin, MO, including downtown road closures coordinated with local police

  • High-speed winding road sequences requiring traffic control

  • FPV and heavy-lift drone cinematography (including anamorphic aerial capture)

  • Table Rock Lake (Army Corps of Engineers coordination)

  • Racetrack Alley with a Harley-sponsored racer

  • Harley’s Product Development Center capturing trike testing and engineering

  • A live overnight presentation at the Route 66 Drive-In in Carthage, Missouri

The drive-in presentation featured 3D bike renderings projected behind live interviews with designers, engineers, and influencers — a dramatic visual departure from Chapter One’s theater setting.

Production Approach

There was no traditional scripted narrative. The structure was developed in real time, documentary-style, guided heavily by host Paul James’ deep institutional knowledge of the brand.

Both chapters were edited under extreme time constraints. To deliver at speed, Remedy converted an Airbnb into a temporary post-production studio — relocating the full team and working extended days to turn around each chapter in roughly two weeks.

Complicating matters further, the original concept (a volume stage shoot in Los Angeles with a celebrity host) pivoted significantly midstream — requiring a full creative and production reconfiguration.

Remedy handled all production elements across both chapters:
Creative development, scheduling, location coordination, permitting, police & government approvals, drone operations, live presentation staging, cinematography, and full post-production.

The Result

Two distinct but connected brand films that honored Harley-Davidson’s heritage while launching Model Year 2026 with cinematic scale and authentic storytelling — delivered under overlapping production schedules and rapid-turn edit windows.
